Churubusco Jr/Sr High School Vocational Department (CTE)

Belief Statement

The belief of the Churubusco Vocational Department is to help empower students for effective participation in a global economy as world-class workers and citizens.  We believe the knowledge, skills and ethics taught are necessary for active, life-long participation in a comprehensive, technological and informational society, fostering success in one’s personal life, college study/or career path.

Department Goals

By the end of this school year,

1. 80% of students will obtain mastery on quarterlies by scoring at least 80% or higher.

2. Provide curricular activities that integrate common core and technical skills at least five times per quarter

3. Utilize business partnerships and community resources for work-based and life experiences such as field trips, guest speakers, internships, and job shadowing at least once per semester
