Special Education
Special Education Department Goals Grades 6-12
Students receiving special education services will achieve a 100% graduation rate by obtaining an Honors Diploma, Core 40 Diploma, General Diploma, or Certificate of Completion.
By the end of the senior year, students will demonstrate college and career readiness by meeting 100% of the graduation pathway requirements.
Teachers will have 100% compliance on transition IEPs.
Special Education Department Philosophy
The Special Education Department believes all students are individuals with a differing set of strengths, weaknesses, learning styles, needs, and goals. We believe all students can learn and achieve when given individually appropriate support, along with curricula that support specific learning styles. All students have the right to an appropriate, inclusive education regardless of race, gender, age, cognitive ability or learning style.
