Happy Birthday to our amazing principal, Mr. Gaff! CES is so very blessed to have you and your leadership.

"Shiver me timbers", indeed! What an amazing/fun day today with all of our pirates, mermaids, and sea creatures in the building. I want to thank our families & staff who helped make today's theme day fun and memorable for our students. Don't forget your "hats off for reading" day for tomorrow's theme. Go Eagles!

Tomorrow's theme day is "Hats Off to Reading" where students/staff will be able to wear their hats to school and throughout the school day. This is our last theme day leading up to Friday's big events. We are excited about the excitement around reading going on inside and outside of this building. An update on our Read-A-Thon fundraiser, we are once again inching closer with less than 48 hours to reach our goal. So please share this link out to families, partners, and community members who want to be a part of this special opportunity to support our school!

Yesterday, Mrs. Pettigrew & Ms. Mosher's kindergarten classrooms visited Orchard Hill Farms! It was a great morning touring the orchard, learning about an apple's life cycle, and how apples are sorted for different purposes.

Mrs. Hill's & Hawn's kindergarten classes had a blast today on the Apple Orchard field trip! We love that we can offer our students experiences like these and see all of the learning that can occur outside of the schoolhouse.

What an AMAZING night we had with our CES families at our annual PTO Literacy Night! A big thank you to our parents/volunteers on the CES PTO, our teacher leaders & staff who volunteered their time and efforts, and all of the families & students who showed up ready to have fun and celebrate the joys of reading. GO EAGLES!

Mr. Gaff was setting the tone on his first day here at CES. We are so excited to have you here at CES, Mr. Gaff!

Parents - The Town of Churubusco is without power causing SGCS to go on a 2-hour delay for today, Monday, 9/11. At this time, we do not know when power will be restored. Thank you.

Welcome to Mr. Troy Gaff, the new Churubusco Elementary Principal starting Monday, September 11th. We look forward to Mr. Gaff being a part of the SGCS team.
