Mrs. Hirsch recognized Churubusco High School Student Council representatives: Katy Dreibelbis, Jessa DeBolt, Ashlyn VanHouten and Jillian Wright.
From Mrs. Hirsch-
"These students are representatives of the Churubusco High School Student Council. While our entire Student Council is impressive, these young ladies led discussions, planned, and created homecoming decorations and events. They spent countless hours at school—many of those hours were after school, after practices, after work, and over the weekend. They decided on the themes for the spirit days and for the hallway decorating contest; in fact, Jillian drew and painted all the characters in the Clue game for teachers' doors in her hallway! They planned the Pep Session and supported the teams who competed that week. They even talked Mrs. Hirsch into allowing for "Anything but a Backpack" Day and bringing Powder Puff and a Homecoming Dance back to Busco! It was such a successful week, but their work isn't done. They won't stop! It's this group of young ladies who continue to meet regularly with the other members of the student council to continue to plan events and activities for our students. They work together to provide feedback to the Student Council sponsors and Mrs. Hirsch about ideas moving forward, too. They represent Busco so very well, and we are so thankful for their leadership and dedication to making great things happen here."
